• Content, trust and security (PDF, Powerpoint) - what has knowledge representation to do with security? These are some notes about alternatives or supplements to cryptography for online security.
• Email, the Cinderella protocol? (PDF, Powerpoint). This presentation, given at the INET 2001 conference, looks at the role of messaging systems in the modern Internet. (It is a long-help belief of mine that store-and-forward messaging is an underrated form of network communication, for more than just email.)
