SemaFor - Goals Triggered by an idea of James Hendler: tool create web pages and RDF metadata at the same time; creates RDF and uses that to create corresponding HTML... Example: a personal web site. Start with "Template" that describes skeletal form of a web site. This describes information to be solicited, and presentation informaton. Use HTML forms for all UI functions (widely available in currently deployed browsers -- later use Xforms, I suppose). But no two web sites are the same. Therefore want to be able to update/extend the template -- preferably through the same UI. Becomes a classic bootstrapping system. The resulting design is SemaFor - a contraction of "semantic forms", or a primitive form of communication. See PDF for design drawings.
